Under the direction of Mitchell S. Cairo, M.D., second from left, professor of pediatrics, medicine, pathology, microbiology and immunology, and cell biology and anatomy, the all-day symposium, “Diagnosis and Management of Common Childhood Hematology and Oncology Problems: A Guide for Pediatric Primary Care Providers,” held on November 12 at Westchester Medical Center, armed pediatric health care professionals with the latest information on the most common pediatric hematologic and oncologic problems and the care of childhood cancer survivors.
