Over 50 health care providers attended the 4th Annual Conference hosted by Dr. Mitchell Cairo of the Childhood and Adolescent Cancer and Blood Diseases Center at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital on Saturday, January 26, 2019. This year’s “Current Topics in Hematology and Oncology” Conference focused on problems that affect Adolescents and Young Adults (AYA). The speakers captivated the audience with their presentations, covering a range of topics that included hematologic and oncologic dilemmas, surgical innovations, and supportive care concerns. The day concluded with inspiring information about outcomes for AYA as they emerge from treatment.
